The schedules mentioned below are guidelines for an average student who
would like to spend one to three hours a week working on a course. Some students
finish a course within two-three weeks because they work on it every day and others
who work on it sporadically and finish within the 90-day limit.
TRAV 033 - AUTOMATED AIR RESERVATIONS has 9 exercises, 11 reviews, and 4 exams. These automated courses are time-consuming
because you will be moving back and forth between the simulated Computer Reservations Systems and the lessons. It also takes
time to learn all of the entries. This course would be difficult to complete within a month. Each assignment takes on to
three hours depending on the student. To complete this course within 90 days, you want to complete two assignments per week
which would require three to six hours per week.
TRAV 034 - AIR RESERVATIONS - Canadian Domestic has 2 challenges, 6 reviews, and 1 exam. This is similar to the Hospitality
course as it is also a very fast course. You can easily complete this within a month. The assignments take approximately an hour.
To complete within a month, you will need to do three to four assignments a week. To complete within 90 days, plan on completing
one assignment per week.
TRAV 035 - AUTOMATED AIR FARES AND TICKETS - Canadian version has 9 exercises, 11 reviews, and 4 exams. These
automated courses are time-consuming because you will be moving back and forth between the simulated Computer Reservations
Systems and the lessons. It also takes time to learn all of the entries. This course would be difficult to complete
within a month. Each assignment takes on to three hours depending on the student. To complete this course within 90 days,
you want to complete two assignments per week which would require three to six hours per week.
TRAV 039 - TAKING OFF IN TRAVEL has 14 assignments called Try It's and one final exam. All assignment responses are submitted electronically to your instructor with results returned via email.
To complete this course within 90 days you should complete two assignments per week.
TRAV 042 - TRAVEL SALES AND TRENDS has 6 challenges, 6 reviews, and 1 exam. These
assignments aren't very time consuming, so you could easily do two assignments per week. On average, each
assignment takes an hour. If you want to complete this course within a month;
you would need to do three to for assignments within a week and plan on spending four to six hours a week.
TRAV 043 - GROUND TRANSPORTATION has 6 challenges, 10 reviews, and 2 exams. This course does require a little more time
because there are two major subjects involved and multiple assignments. Again, each assignment takes an average of an hour.
The reviews might take a little longer, so I would plan on one to two hours for the reviews. To complete this course within a
month, you would need to do for to five assignments each week. This will require a couple of hours each day. To complete the
course within 90 days, you will need to complete on to two assignments per week.
TRAV 044 - HOTELS AND LODGING / HOSPITALITY Also called Hotels and Lodging has 3 challenges, 5 reviews and 1 exam. This is a very fast course to move through.
There is a lot of information given, but the assignments don't take very long to do. You could easily complete this
course within a month, if you complete an average of three to four assignments per week. You might plan on one hour per
assignment. If you prefer to take the full 90 days, you could plan to do one assignment each week.
TRAV 045 - THE CRUISE MARKET includes 5 challenges, 5 reviews, and 1 exam. All reviews, challenges
and the exam are submitted electronically to your instructor with results returned via email.
There are six lessons in this course. A good pace might be to complete one lesson every 7-10 days.
TRAV 046 - SELLING VACATION PACKAGES AND TOURS has 2 challenges, 4 reviews and 1 exam. There is a lot of information in this course,
however, you can move through it very quickly. In order to complete this course in one month you should plan on completing 1 challenge
and 1 review a week. To complete it within the 90-day limit, plan on 1 challenge a week and a review every other week.
TRAV 147 - DESTINATION GEOGRAPHY includes 30 mini lessons. Each lesson generally includes: a map of the destination(s), a description,
client appeal for the area, tourist season, how to get around and recommended itinerary. There is 1 challenge, 9 quizzes, and 1 final exam.
You can easily complete this course within the 90 day-period by completing 3 miniy completing 3 mini lessons per week.
TRAV 148 - DEVELOPING SPECIALTY VACATION PACKAGES has 12 challenges and 6 Action Plans, each of which requires responses to your
instructor/course administrator. There are 6 Post Quizzes that are automatically scored and graded with immediate response. The average of these post quizzes will make up your final grade for the course. You can complete this course within 90 days by completing two assignments each week.
TRAV 149 - SMALL GROUP TOUR LEADERSHIP has 6 items called "What Do You Think?", 6 items called "What Would You Do?", and 3 Stop, Review and Apply exercises, each of
which requires responses to your instructor/course administrator. The final exam will be graded and the results will be available in
your student records. Complete 1 assignment each week to complete the course within 90 days.
TRAV 052 - FARES AND TICKETS INTERNATIONAL has 4 reviews and 1 exam. Each review is extensive. While the emphasis
of this course is the interpretation of information and procedures, you will have the opportunity to practice such things as
currency conversion. A review completed every one to two weeks is a good strategy to complete the course in a timely manner,
and to solidify your new skills.
